The Transformation Office (TO) team at CP Axtra works closely with senior leadership on priority strategic projects. We drive end-to-end impact: from identifying areas of opportunity and developing needle-moving strategic initiatives to driving large-scale transformation, ensuring that ideas translate into real business results.

Responsibilities

  • Department Manager from Transformation Office (TO) will be assigned to 2-3 strategic projects at a time working closely with a senior member of TO and the businesses / functions involved in driving those strategic projects.

  • TO works closely with businesses / functions to co-lead the strategic projects end-to-end including:

  • Scoping: Partner with business stakeholders to identify key sources of value and define where the Transformation Office can best support.

  • Supporting: Step in where help is needed most - from strategy development and initiative design to problem-solving bottlenecks and managing escalations, ensuring effective deployment of resources.

  • Challenging: Provide fact-based challenge to raise ambition, and working with businesses to consider “what more can we do?” and “how can we move faster?”

  • Tracking/escalating: Ensure execution stays on plan; conduct root cause analysis and develop mitigation plans where performance indicators are lagging, and develop concise action-oriented report for Senior Executives/Board.

  • Department Management from TO will have ample opportunities to lead and present findings and updates in senior management meetings.

  • Department Manager from TO will be invited to major strategic discussions (e.g. weekly performance review) and be closely connected to other ongoing projects across the company. Department Manger is expected to be able to see overlaps, linkages, and implications for your workstream, and steer or course-correct as needed.

  • Department Manager from TO is also able to identify additional pockets of value for company e.g. initiatives within or adjacent to existing workstreams.

Qualifications

Experience required

  • 5+ years of professional experience in corporate strategy or business development role in major companies, ideally in Retail or Consumer Goods industries .

  • OR Senior Analyst/Senior Associate level from Strategy Consulting .

  • Ability to see the bigger picture and propose ideas to drive business results.

  • Ability to prioritize long list of projects / activities and workplan for self.

  • Ability to execute independently and able to identify the right course of action (best use of time) while waiting for top-down direction.

  • Ability to distinguish transformative initiatives with day-to-day execution & business-as-usual improvement.

  • Strong sense of ownership, proactively drives workstreams towards outcomes and results.

  • Prior experience in retail, consumer goods, e-commerce or related fields preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex and ambiguous challenges.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience influencing and presenting to senior management.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and pivoting across multiple priorities.
